Boronia Residences is a newly approved dual occupancy development in Marcoola on the Sunshine Coast. Designed as a knock-down rebuild, the project replaces the original dwelling with two contemporary residences tailored to their beachside setting.
The site presented key flood and stormwater constraints, requiring careful planning, finished floor level coordination and integrated drainage solutions as part of the Development Application process. Following successful approval from Sunshine Coast Council, the project is now progressing into detailed working and construction drawings.
The design balances refined coastal living with efficiency, sustainability and connection to place. Generous openings, considered orientation and natural ventilation strategies maximise light and airflow, while a practical layout ensures long-term functionality and buildability.
